From the photographer, Maggie:
When I arrived at the the bride’s beloved family lake house on Lake Leelanau the day before the wedding, I was instantly welcomed with open arms. It truly felt like I had known Jennie and her family for years. This sweet sense of familiarity and ease was reflected in every detail of her wedding day, and it was beautiful to see.
The ceremony was held just down the road from the house in a vineyard underneath a majestic weeping willow. Surrounded by family and friends, their ceremony was rich with the influence of their faith and their love for each other. Although rain threatened throughout the day, not a drop fell the entire wedding. As the sun wove itself in and out behind clouds, we were able to take advantage of the light and sneak away for a few portraits of just Jennie and Danny after the ceremony.
Every aspect of their wedding day was a reflection of them as a couple – light filled and lighthearted. It was not only an honor to photograph them, but and honor to witness their beautiful union and celebrate alongside them!
