From Australian based photographer Jemma:
A lot of the inspiration for this shoot came from a beautiful overgrown field of White Poplar trees Natalie (from Zinnia) and I discovered in the South West of WA. The trees were speckled with different shades of green from a long, hot summer and had just started turning gold for autumn. Together with the beautiful afternoon sun, it proved to be the perfect location for the romantic and organic aesthetic we wanted to create.
The autumnal tones became the basis for decisions on all of the other elements – starting with the arbor which was adorned with foliage of all colours & textures. We loved the idea of highlighting the pretty colours with a shock of black to make a subtle but impactful statement against the dry summer field. The intricate and lace work of the stunning gown created another organic layer against nature’s beauty. It’s such a romantic gown, and really took the crew’s breath away when Laine was wandering the field. We were so pleased to have been able to do this collaboration together and hope you enjoy the results!
