From the photographer, Niki:
The Oregon coast is a constantly beautiful, almost etherial place. But to be able to have a full evening of sunlight is a rare event. We took advantage of this rarity, using the dimly lit rock as a moody backdrop for the elegant simplicity of the bride’s gown.
We loved how we were able to capture the natural, beautiful elements, but with a new flavor. The groom’s suit was a blue that echoed the surroundings, leaving the bride as the focal point. The stylist’s vision for the bride was feminine, bold, and sexy. Rather than having a neutral palette throughout, the color of the understated dress was used as the stepping off point. From there the stylist left the hair natural, added bright florals layered with bright and dark pinks, and matte (but bright) pink lips. This layering, resulted in a playful rather than serious vibe. A really wonderful look that can easily be interpreted by today’s modern bride!
